Hangovers Depend On Alcohol Content

Some people who aren’t acquainted with some of the alcoholic beverages or mixed drinks made today don’t realize that the content of the alcohol will also determine the harshness of the hangover as well. For example, if an individual is going to consume alcoholic beverages such as beer, wine coolers, or other alcohol added beverages the actual alcohol content isn’t as high as those mixed drinks, which involve vodka, whiskey, tequila and others.

It’s apparent that stronger alcoholic beverages are going to produce hangovers that are worse than the lower content. This of course isn’t the case if the amount of lower alcoholic beverages in excess. In perspective, if an individual consumes several low alcohol beverages and a different individual consumes one or two drinks that have a higher alcoholic content; the individual who consumes more alcohol is probably going to have the worse hangover. Again, this does depend on the person and how he or she is capable of absorbing alcohol into the system. It also depends on the things leading to the individual actually drinking alcohol too.

If an individual eats a decent sized meal then chances are the alcohol will be absorbed by the food as it is being digested. This will usually make the effects of a hangover different as to someone who begins to consume alcohol on an empty stomach.
It is ultimately important to remember that different alcoholic beverages or mixed drinks all have a different alcohol level. This is known as the “proof: of a drink, higher proof drinks are worse as far as hangovers and according to research have a bigger impact on the overall impairment of the individual too.

Disorientation that is essentially caused from an excess of alcohol can also have an impact on the hangover and nausea simply because the individual feels unbalanced. A number of factors can be placed on the alcohol content and how it affects hangovers as well as the cures of the hangovers.
